Other travel options to European Ski Resorts include going by overnight "Ski Coach" with Eurolines,from London or Dover. By rail you can take the "Snow Train" by Eurostar from London & Paris.
Self drive involves booking a suitable ferry crossing, the booked route depending on where you live and which resorts you are going to. Dover/Calais being the most suitable for most French Ski Resorts.
If travelling to Austria, Italy, Germany or Switzerland, you would be best taking one of the "Long Crossings" from Harwich. Hull or Newcastle. Sailing overnight, you get a good nights sleep before driving through Belgium, through Germany into Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
All routes offer excellent motorway connections through Europe to the Ski Resorts. Don't forget Essential Travel insurance and European Breakdown insurance if Driving.
